When you’re Tired of Being Strong
🌿Scripture:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
Devotional:
There’s a kind of tired that runs deeper than sleep.
It’s the kind that comes from always being the one who holds everything together.
The strong one.
The calm one.
The one who prays for everyone else, stays steady, and never lets the cracks show.
But sometimes… even the strong fall apart.
And maybe today, you’re quietly unraveling behind the kindness you give away so freely.
If that’s you, hear this:
Jesus never asked you to be strong for everyone else.
He asked you to come to Him.
Just as you are.
Weary. Burdened. Tired of holding it all.
You were never meant to carry the weight of the world.
You were meant to rest in the arms of the One who already has.
This isn’t weakness—it’s worship.
Letting go.
Laying it down.
Letting the strong arms of Christ be strong for you.
So if you're tired of being strong today, you're not failing.
You're being called.
Come and rest.
He's already holding it all—and He’s holding you, too.
And when you're ready to rise again, you won’t rise in your own strength.
You will be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
(Ephesians 6:10)
Because your strength doesn’t come from trying harder—
It comes from trusting deeper.
