When You Feel Disconnected From Everything
🌿Scripture:
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
— John 15:5 (NIV)
Devotional:
Some days you feel it before your feet hit the floor.
A sense of distance. Dullness. Disconnection.
Not just from people—but from joy… from meaning… even from God.
It’s not that you’ve stopped believing. It’s just… everything feels far away.
The prayers you used to whisper now feel dry in your mouth.
The people around you smile, but you feel unseen.
And the world spins on, busy and loud, while you carry your quiet ache like a hidden weight.
Friend, if this is where you are today, I want you to hear something simple but true:
Disconnection does not mean disqualification.
You are not less beloved because your heart feels dim.
You are not faithless because you feel far.
Even the branch that’s grown weary is still part of the vine.
Jesus didn’t ask us to feel connected at every moment.
He asked us to remain.
Remaining isn’t dramatic.
It’s not always emotional.
Sometimes it’s just sitting quietly in the light, even when everything in you wants to go numb and drift.
Remaining is choosing to believe:
“God is still with me—even here.”
So if you feel disconnected today, let this moment be a quiet return.
Not to striving. Not to performance.
Just to presence.
Sit for a while. Take a breath. Whisper, “I’m still here, Lord.”
That’s enough for today.
And the light is still on.
