When the Silence Feels Too Loud
✨Scripture:
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
— Psalm 46:10
Devotional:
There’s a kind of silence that heals—
and a kind that hurts.
You may know the difference.
Sometimes, the silence of a quiet morning brings peace.
But other times, silence feels like abandonment.
Like a conversation that ended mid-sentence.
Like heaven has gone still.
You pray… and hear nothing.
You sit… and feel nothing.
You wonder: Is God really with me in this stillness, or have I been left behind?
Let me gently remind you of this:
Silence is not absence.
It never has been. Not with God.
He speaks in whispers.
He meets us in the stillness.
He often hides His power inside quiet things—
a breath, a breeze, a waiting heart.
Psalm 46:10 doesn’t say “Do more.” It says “Be still.”
Stillness is not laziness. It’s surrender. It’s trust.
It’s the space between your questions and God’s slow, sacred answers.
If the silence feels loud today… you’re not being punished.
You’re being held.
And even if His voice isn’t filling the room, His presence is.
So sit. Breathe. Wait.
Even now, He is here.
