Peace in the Middle of the Storm

🌿 Scripture

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid..”

— John 14:27 (NIV)

🕊 Devotional

The world offers a kind of peace that’s always tied to conditions—
When the bills are paid.
When the diagnosis comes back clean.
When the relationship is mended.

But the peace Jesus offers doesn’t wait for the storm to stop. It’s an anchor in the storm.

Right now, you may be carrying a swirl of “what ifs” in your heart. The future feels uncertain, and fear keeps creeping in through the cracks. But Jesus looks you straight in the eye and says, “Do not let your heart be troubled.”

Not because the problem isn’t real.
Not because you can handle it alone.
But because He is here—and He’s not leaving.

His peace is steady when the headlines shake you.
His peace is whole when your heart is tired.
His peace is yours because He promised it—and He never breaks His word.

So take a deep breath today.
Let His peace quiet the noise.
And know this: the One who calms storms is holding you.

🙏 Prayer

Jesus, speak Your peace into my storm right now. Quiet the fear, silence the lies, and steady my heart. You are with me, You are in control, and no storm is stronger than Your presence. I take refuge in You. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
