He Is Close to the Brokenhearted
🌿 Scripture
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
🕊 Devotional
There are moments when it feels like the walls are closing in. You’re holding it together on the outside—but inside? Everything feels heavy, cracked, fragile.
You wonder if anyone truly sees what you're carrying.
Or if it’s all just too much to matter.
But there’s One who draws close—not just in the celebration, but especially in the collapse. He doesn’t flinch at your pain. He doesn't need you to "have it all together."
The Lord—gentle and mighty—is near to the brokenhearted. Not far. Not distracted. Near.
You don’t have to pretend with Him.
If your spirit feels crushed, know this:
He’s not disappointed in your weakness.
He’s not waiting for you to get stronger before He shows up.
He is already here.
So breathe. Cry if you need to. Pray if you can.
And if all you have is a whisper? That’s enough.
Because He’s near. And He’s not leaving.
You are not alone.
You are not abandoned.
You are held.
